Behind the Lens

I'm Estee

The beginning of my love story with photography came after receiving my own wedding gallery. Reliving the moments and emotions I felt on our special day is an experience that I will never forget. While also being a full-time teacher during the year, I feel so grateful that I’m able to capture your love stories during the summer months.

Everyone is so beautifully different and I believe that each photograph tells a unique story that’s only made possible by being your most authentic self. Rather than looking back on a special occasion as a photoshoot or something highly curated, I strive to capture and deliver the honest and unscripted moments that are truly timeless.

My hope is that when you look back at your photos, you’ll be able to relive the exact moment you said “I do”, hear the laughter from your grandparents, and see the cake you left half-eaten because your best friend dragged you to the dance floor.

Inspirations       & Admirations

A place I could visit again and again ...

Japan has my heart. I’ve been there five times, and each trip uncovers something new — a quiet street, a hidden café, or a corner of a temple. No matter how many times I go, it never feels like enough, and I always leave dreaming about the next adventure. Not to mention, the food!

My go-to comfort food(s)

Shin Ramyun, hotpot, dumplings, and a good bowl of ice cream to finish it all off.

What I'm doing when I'm not photographing

During the week, I teach kindergarten — which means patience, creativity, and plenty of experience with little personalities and big emotions. Outside of work, I love spending time doing pottery, experimenting with shapes and textures, and finding quiet moments to create something by hand.

(Current) favourite book series

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. If you know, you know. It's the kind of series you can get lost in for hours and still wish it didn’t end. I'm still not over it.

Talk to me about

Pottery, romantasy books, baking, Miffy, discovering new restaurants, and of course, Japan.

A simple joy

My 11-year-old dog, Oreo — small, loyal, and very dedicated to announcing every little sound around the house. Quiet evenings with him and my husband are my favourite kind of slow, cozy moments.
